Welcome to Jamrock

In his newest album "Welcome to Jamrock," Damian 'Jr Gong' Marley carries on the tradition set by his father, Bob Marley, by singing about real life issues and problems that simultaneously reaches out to a new generation with conscious lyrics that fans can relate to. Musically, the album reflects his passion for music in the sense that he doesn't try to corner the album into one specific genre but injects flavor by diversifying music styles while remaining focused on the message.

from the New York Times:

The title track single from the album, "Welcome to Jamrock" is "an early contender for song of the decade."

from the LA Times:

"The first two albums by Bob Marley's youngest son, Damian, made him a reggae star. His genre-bending third release takes things a step further....He's made one of the year's best albums, a stirring homage to reggae's past that's deeply, dazzlingly lodged in the present."
